  4. Public Transport: The efficient public transportation system includes buses and the Metro, providing easy access to different parts of the city.
  5. Hygge Lifestyle: Experience the Danish concept of “hygge” by cozying up in local cafes and enjoying Danish pastries, like the famous “kanelsnegle” (cinnamon rolls).
  6. Cultural Offerings: Explore museums like the National Gallery, the Designmuseum Denmark, and the Rosenborg Castle to immerse yourself in Danish culture.
  7. English Proficiency: Danes have excellent English language skills, making communication a breeze for solo travelers.

The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid, inspired by a character in Danish author Andersen’s 1837 fairytale of the same name, is a 175kg (385lb) statue by the sculptor Edvard Eriksen. The statue sits in the relatively secluded harbor of Langelinie in Copenhagen.

Many of my travels have had a Biblical focus and other historical significance. Copenhagens’ war history is heartbreaking. The Churchill Parken (Park) is a beautiful tribute to war and peace.
