WARNEMUNDE, GERMANY
Must See
Warnminner Umgang
This fountain celebrates the elected officials from Warnemunde going to Rostock to have the people of Warnemunde’s voices heard.
St. Johannis-Kantorei
St. Johannis is a gorgeous church with a bizarre monument to Neptune. The sculpture has the “tail” serpent of Neptune and three naked ladies from the community in its courtyard. The church dates back hundreds of years before Catholicism was banned from Germany and all churches became Protestant. The Neptune monument was created in 2022.

This building was a 24-hour kindergarten during WWII. Men were forced to fight for the Natzi party, and women were forced to work in the shipping yards building warships.
Now it is a bed and breakfast

WarnemundeFamous Lighthouse
I visited Warnemunde in late August?
Everything was about strawberries as it was at the end of their strawberry season.
Views of the Baltic Sea are extraordinary from here.
Even the alcohol was strawberry. I must say that I did enjoy this Prossecco while watching the dolphins jump in river water.
